Beginning Orchestra is a course designed for students who would like to learn to play an orchestra instrument – violin, viola, cello, and bass (rental of the instrument is encouraged). Previous experience is not required. In addition to learning how to play a musical instrument, beginning orchestra students learn basic musical skills and information that will prepare them to advance to Advanced Orchestra the following year. Beginning Orchestra students will perform in the winter and spring concerts.
